Looking back now at how much fun I had at the event, I cannot seem to remember why I was unsure of attending in the first place. Perhaps something to do with my horrible bowling skills or maybe the two exams I had the same weekend. As it turned out, after days of digging deep into my books, a little unwinding was what I needed. As soon as the bowling shoes came on, the thought of exams right around the corner seemed to have been pushed into some distant corner of my mind.
The best part about the event was the relaxed environment in which students were able to network with CMA representatives. Not only were we in the company of practicing CMA’s who were more than willing to provide insight into the kind of work they indulge in on a daily basis, but also representatives who could provide us with academic guidance better than anyone else. Along with career guidance, almost all of us including myself took part in a complimentary bowling lesson from CMA representatives. The highlight of the night was definitely watching Michael Klein do the splits. (Viewable by those who are following the APAA page on Facebook, be sure to check it out!)
Our CMA ambassador Ashley, as always was the perfect host. She was seen running everywhere making sure everything was going smooth and everyone was having a good time. Well, to her I am sure we all can say ‘Mission accomplished’. The food was great and I confidently can say that people will carry delightful memories of the event with them for a long time.
So in conclusion, great food, great networking opportunity, and as always great people. Till next year I guess, I cannot wait! Who will be joining me at Lucky Strike Lanes next year? I hope to see everyone there.
