The APAA paired up with Elaine Charal, Certified Handwriting Analyst, from “Power of the Pen” to reveal to us what our handwriting really says about us and what image it could portray to future employers.
Ms. Charal started off with displaying comparisons of different handwriting and how each of those reflected certain personality traits that we posses and even what mood that person was in while writing. She first asked us to write on a piece of paper a certain phrase, our favourite life quote followed by our signatures. She then proceeded with her very enlightening presentation, things like the slants in your l’s or the way you write your n’s and m’s can say a lot about your personality. For example, a circling effect around your signature reflects a protective stroke that indicates that you are a private person and have a very specific ‘inner circle’ that you can trust!
Everyone that attended the event, including myself, were very intrigued about what our handwriting could give away. When she finished her enticing presentation, Ms. Charal proceeded to analyze each and every one of our handwriting and gave us such great insight into what message we could pass on to a likely employer and how it could negatively or positively affect their hiring decision. We had two CMA representatives follow Elaine’s presentation by giving us insight on their jobs and what they do on a daily basis. This was a very successful CMA held event and we had a great turnout of members.
Ms. Charal is very charismatic and listening to her was very much enjoyable, she had us laughing from the heart. We were privileged to have her visit York for our APAA event, and to have her presence and skill in the analysis of our handwriting. We would like to thank Ms. Charal for a fun and enlightening event as well the APAA council and our CMA Ambassador Ashley Dewji for organizing this event!
